Twin Cities Chess Club (TCCC) is an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of today's chess students. It was started in an effort to foster better relationships between existing chess coaches and the students taking their classes. We feel that not enough connections are being made between the two groups.
Do you like chess and are proud of it? Then we suggest you stop on by and share your story or tell us how we could help you to improve. We are planning to organize weekly meetings and tournaments for school age students and would like to learn about your interest and opinion.

Beginner Chess: Puzzles, Strategies, Tactics, Jokes, and Stories
A message from Igor Rybakov: I am very excited to announce the publication of Beginner Chess which I co-wrote with one of my instructors. It includes over 700 chess puzzles, more than 20 games with analysis (including 15 World Champion games and some fun games), and some jokes and stories. Tactics include forks, pins, skewers, discovered attacks, attacking defenders, and mates in one. Also included is a 300+ question chess test. Advanced beginner and intermediate players would be able to use the puzzles to improve their fluency, speed, and pattern recognition. I hope you will consider purchasing the book on Amazon and writing a 4- or 5-star review (if you like it). We are also open to feedback about any mistakes. Winter 2025 Chess Tournament
Saturday, February 22nd Brooklyn Park Technical College K-12 and college students A fun way for students of all ages to learn and improve their chess level! A chess tournament is the next arena where young chess players can test their skill. Chess tournaments are not only competitions, but social events as well. Participants will meet peers with a similar love for the game. When: Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 @ 10am-3:00pm Where: Brooklyn Park Technical College Who: K-12, College students, and adults Fee: $35, at the door $45 TDs: Igor Rybakov and Nathan Hoover Players grouped by rating/age/experience level. Swiss System, 5 rounds. All players will receive an award with trophies to the top 3. Pizza, big chess cake, snacks, and beverages will be provided!
